Out of Place was the theme for the Winter 2025 Edition, which explores belonging, emphasizing how an element completely distinct from its surroundings can transform the space into an intriguing place with a story. For this issue, I assisted the Editor-in-chiefs across the full publication, alongsidee contributing to 3 interior pages as a Layout Designer.

For this issue's branding, I designed an original cat character in Illustrator, developing it from initial sketches into a refined vector, with final touches completed by a fellow team member.

While the cover designs were led by other team members, I contributed to the die-cut effect portion, ensuring the physical magazine opens to reveal artwork beneath.

Outcome
Out of Place was published and distributed 150+ copies at the University of Waterloo and the Stratford School of Interaction Design and Business campus. Stepping into the role of Assistant Editor-in-Chief, I oversaw the production process alongside the Editors-in-Chief ensuring the smallest details were implimented.
